Iron Maiden

If Iron Maiden harbored any thoughts of sending their zombie mascot Eddie back to the grave after the release of their 15th studio album, ‘The Final Frontier,’ they’ve likely reconsidered following their recent run of sold-out arena shows and the chart success of the new album, which entered at number four on the Billboard Hot 200 this week.

“People are gonna think [it's our last album], I suppose, because the band has had a really long career, and who knows when it’s gonna stop?” bassist and songwriter Steve Harris told Noisecreep. “But we don’t feel like we’re there yet.”

Bring Me the Horizon

Alternative Press is the Bible for the youth culture that follows the Warped Tour scene dominated by bands like My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy, but don’t forget that the publication does cover our beloved metal, too. The mag is sponsoring their second annual fall tour, which boasts Bring Me the Horizon and August Burns Red as the co-headliners. The lineup was actually picked by the magazine’s staffers, so we’re glad they have good metallic taste. The tour is poised to break the previous edition’s attendance and is booked in larger venues.

Geezer Butler keeps talking about how a Black Sabbath reunion is not out of the question. The bassist told our friends over at Hellbound.ca that he “wouldn’t say no” to a reunion, adding, “You know it would be nice to finish the whole thing off with one last tour.”

When Slipknot headlined the 2009 version of the Download festival, the band made sure a camera crew was in tow. Their performance was captured by 30 cameras — and over 80,000 fans ate it up. Now hat performance is coming to DVD under the name ‘(sic)nesses.’
