Even though he’s just 17 years old, wears plasters on his fingers – everyday – and is cheesier than Jerry the mouse’s happiest dream, Justin Bieber has managed to attract 15 million twitter followers.

And to prove it, just as the counter hit the mark, he tweeted: “our family is growing. I will always be there for you as long as you are there by me. This family is forever. THANK U. #ILoveBELIEBERS.”

However Lady Gaga and her Little Monsters are still currently beating Justin and his Beliebers with just over 16million.

His latest numerical milestone comes just after he was named the most searched for person on internet search engine Bing, beating Kim Kardashian.

Just a few weeks ago Justin was at the centre of an embarrassing paternity claim after Mariah Yeater said he fathered her baby boy following a 30 second fumble backstage at one of his gigs.

Bieber has since taken a DNA test – the results have not yet been made public.
